OHS Drama
The O'Neill Drama Department performed SHREK the Musical today, Sunday April 17th and yesterday, Saturday April 16th with rave reviews. People laughed, people cried, people laughed some more. SHREK was another successful spring musical for the O'Neill High School students and staff. "Words cannot express how proud I am of my cast, crew, and band," says musical director Jonathan Jaques. "They gave amazing performances with energy and emotion. I am extremely grateful for all of their hard work, late hours, struggles and triumphs. This was a unique collection of students were 'different, but united' and became a family."

Musical Rehearsals are in full swing in the AM for Shrek the Musical. A reminder to all cast members to attend the regular rehearsals as scheduled in the mornings. Evening rehearsals begin on February 29th at 7:00 pm. Find your inner fairy-tale creature and let your freak flag fly!

Auditions for SHREK THE MUSICAL begin after school today! Bring your best Shrek, Donkey, Fiona, Pinocchio, Farquaad etc. attitude! We hope to have the cast chosen by next Tuesday before break. If we need callbacks, we may have to hold out until the first week of January. (sad panda) Bring it!
CASTING CALL!
Auditions for Shrek the Musical will be held after school and by special appointment on December 16th-18th, 21st. Students auditioning will need a song to perform, preferably broadway or popular, and should be ready to read from a script. A sign-up sheet is posted by the choir room door and audition forms will be available next Tuesday. Come and be part of this amazing, disgusting, funny and very green musical for the whole family! Congrats one-act cast and crew on another wonderful performance at the district meet. Even though we didn't place where we intended, you performed beautifully. Mrs. Langan and I are proud to be your directors. Thank you for a great season on stage!
A special congratulation to Vionne Trizila and James Walton for earning outstanding performer awards! Once again, outstanding job at conference cast and crew! The show is really shining and you walked away with 3 superior ratings and 5 outstanding actor awards! You competed well with our conference partners. Be proud and let's be the best at Niobrara!
Yesterday the OHS one act cast and crew performed in the Morningside College One-Act competition and had a blast! We returned home with a 2nd place trophy! Additional trophies: Best Actor = James Walton Best Actress = Makenzie Petersen Best Supporting "Actor" = Emily Morrow Best Supporting Actress = Vionne Trizila Congrats everyone on a great performance!
